Adopting Cats, Dogs and other Small Pets
The Dogs, cats and other pets advertised for adoption here and elsewhere on this site may have been advertised by private individuals or Pet Rescue or Pet Welfare organisations. In each case, the current owners-keepers will have their own procedure for adoption. Please remember that in the majority of cases, adoption enquiries are not handled by telephone, and may require a certain amount of form filling and a house visit. If you are interested in adopting a dog, cat or other small pet, you will generally need to make an appointment to view the animal.
Adoptable Dogs, Bruce, Bridgwater
Information about Bruce
Gorgeous American Bulldog (entire)
Through no fault of his own ‘Bruce’ is advertised for adoption, unfortunately his owner has suddenly passed and we are unable to house him indefinitely due to other dogs in the family.
He is microchipped and flee’d regularly, he is good with a bath and does respond to basic commands.
He is a wonderful friendly dog who has an absolutely cracking temperament, still young and playful. He does not have a nasty streak about him and has been around other dogs and is absolutely fine, he is also good around children.
He is not vicious but can be nervous around new people and new dogs but once he has built up a trust with you he is very loyal and affectionate.
He loves his toys and is not destructive with them, he is good on the lead but needs someone with experience of larger dogs as he is strong. He does not chew and although he can be left alone we would prefer him to go to a home where someone is around most or all of the day.
We would like Bruce to go to the right home, someone who has experience of large dogs, preferably able to devote time and attention to him and have a very large garden for him to play in and is not going to pass him on, hopefully a forever home so we know his owner will be happy with his new home.
