Information about Bella

Bella, 8-year-old tortoiseshell, looking for her forever home 🐾

Due to a big and sad change in our family circumstances, we’re looking for a loving new home for our beautiful Bella.

Bella came to us as a rescue, and she is one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats you could meet. Once she knows you, she’ll be your best friend. She’ll follow you from room to room, curl up for cuddles, and even join you for little strolls around the neighbourhood. When she’s relaxed she’s gentle and playful. In new or busy situations she can be a little cautious at first, so she does best with someone patient who lets her come to them.

With children: Bella has lived happily alongside our 18-month-old son and has never scratched him. We’ve always taught him to be gentle and not to chase, squeeze or pick her up, and she’s done really well with that. She’d suit a home with calm, respectful children, or no children at all.

With other animals: Bella would love to be the only cat. Other cats make her anxious. She can be fine with a calm, gentle dog.

Good to know: When Bella feels stressed, usually because of other cats nearby, she sometimes marks by peeing indoors, often in the hallway or on natural-fibre rugs. She’s had a full vet check (including for a UTI), and it’s simply her anxious nature. We’ve learned a few things that keep her happy, and with these in place she has gone months at a time without any accidents:

A few litter trays, kept clean (she’s a bit particular!)
Plenty of outdoor time
A home where other cats can’t come inside (e.g. a microchip cat flap)
Fewer natural-fibre rugs and carpets

We’re happy to share everything we know to help her settle in.

Her ideal home: a calm, cat-free household with someone who’d love a devoted, cuddly companion and has access to outdoor space.

Bella has so much love to give, and we want her to go somewhere she’ll be cherished. If you think you could be her person, please get in touch. We’d love to hear about you and your home.
