I got Eric from the Liverpool pound while on a day trip. He was going to be put to sleep. The Lakeside Community in Scunthorpe raised £597 for Eric and with this money he was neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (including kennel cough) and has also had a lump removed from his elbow. The total cost was £518. The remainder I donated to the Liverpool pound.
Eric would be suited as the only dog and best suited to someone who is retired and/or a person semi retired. (he has had a squabble over a toy with one of my other dogs). All my dogs are neutered etc so no toys allowed. Eric is a no no to cats as he is fixated on my cat and will chase my cat and this is why I need to rehome him.
Eric is a wonderful 8 year old Labrador staffy cross who is absolutely adorable and loves nothing more than playing with his tennis ball. He is a friendly boy with people and has so much love to give and is looking to be loved. He is not really interested in other dogs on his walks. Walks well on a head collar, travels well, crate trained and house trained. He knows his commands sit, stay, wait, leave and paw. If he needs to go to the garden he will bark while at the back door to be let in and out. He will also bark if you do not feed him on time to let you know it is late. He has only been with my husband and I since the beginning of January 2024. As we are both retired and he has not bet left much. He is greedy and will also try to steal your food if you do not tell him otherwise. He will make a great addition to a loving family as an only dog. He will need a garden with six feet high fencing as he can jump a five foot fence.
Eric has been abused in the past and I need to know that he is going to the right home that will be kind and loving to him. I will not let him go to just anyone as Eric deserves the best. I myself will do a homecheck. He has scars on his head where cigarettes have been stubbed out on him as well as sharp blade scars
