Information about Tyson

We sadly have to give up our German shepherd who is almost 7 years old in April, we have been struggling to give him the love and attention he deserves, he lives with another female dog and a family of children so is used to children of all ages but my health has got worse and we just don’t have the time for him as well as financial costs, we would like some pictures plus a forwarding address of where he will be rehomed to as we just want to make sure he is settled and well looked after.

He has a skin allergy where he scratches his ears and sometimes his fur so will need a visit to the vets to confirm this, he isn’t good around dogs he doesn’t know so best suited to a home with no other pets for the time being and let him get used to you and his surroundings as he is anxious out of the house on walks and barks a lot, the owner needs to be able to physically cope with his strength as he is a very big dog but at home he is a softie and is so loving and calm. He can be left at home once settled and he won’t bark all day, is a good dog and will just lay down sleeping til your back. He is strong on lead and can pull you so needs further training, he knows commands and gives you his paw if you ask. He loves to be off lead and play fetch with a tennis ball in open field, needs annual vaccinations. He is not neutered but is microchipped. A long haired German shepherd called Tyson who loves to be groomed having his fur brushed, he always wants to be surrounded by love and attention. Has had ear surgery on 1 ear when he was young many years ago as his ear swelled up due to an infection but they have been fine since, just needs regular ear cleaning and to keep on top of it, he may initially need some antibiotics. We can give you the details of the vets who he saw for the surgery if you would like. It may be a good idea to have some calming spray to help with the transport if you collect him.
Please only contact if you are serious about giving him a new home and willing to travel, experience with this breed or large dogs is essential as he is a strong boy! He is bigger than your average GSD. We want him to go to a great home so asking you take him to the vets instead of paying us any money but we need to be sure he is going to a great home.

We will miss him so much but need to do what’s best for him and give him the love and attention he deserves.

Best suited to a home with no other pets but can consider another pet once he is settled.
Location is TW11, Teddington, Middx
