Information and Enquiry Form

Rehoming Animal Telephone Service – The Re homing Animal Telephone Service ( RATS) began as a registered charity in 1984 when a group of animal lovers in the Bedford area launched a telephone service to put those who needed to rehome an animal in touch with those who wished to adopt – hence the name Rehoming Animal Telephone Service. Cats and small mammals are still fostered in the Bedford area by volunteers and it is our policy never to have a healthy animal put to sleep, but to find them caring homes where they will live safely for the rest of their lives. We rehome animals mainly around the Beds, Herts, Luton and Essex areas. Thanks to donations the charity was able to purchase the kennels for the Dogs at Hare Street in Hertfordshire, helping us to save the life of many dogs that were due to be put to sleep by the local pounds.

Enquiry Form

Animal Welfare Groups often have limited manpower to deal with email enquiries so please don't use this form unless you are interested in adopting a pet, would like to make an appointment to view a pet you are interested in adopting, or unless you are volunteering to help in other ways. For the same reason, some pet rescue organisations may take several days to reply, so please be patient! Thank you.
